FINAL DA PLANS DONE!!!!!!!
Today we accepted the final plans for da to council as well as our BASIX, landscaping and something else has been ordered. If everything goes well, we will be ready for council next week!!!!!!!

First Post!!! :))) How exciting!!!!!!!
Hi Everyone,
We ( Thomas and Burton) decided to build our new home :)
We decided to setup this blog to use it as a diary of the progress of building our new house.
We have exchanged on the land in the new estate One Minto NSW.
The land size is aprox. 600sqm and has got nice views of the surroundings.
As per the estate requirements you do have to chose to build with one of the approved builders.
Previously when looking who to build with over i think 4 months :) we really liked Rawson homes and they are one of the approved builders:) so we decided to go with them.
We decided on the Benham 29 with the classic facade.
We decided that the classic facade looks a bit empty, so we added a suspended balcony on the upper level of the house from the master bedroom.
The plans for the house are just going through the final amendments and should be return to us for final acceptance in the next 2 weeks. A bit long for a small amendments, but i guess that's how long it takes :(
Either way, we already have gone through the external color selection. We decided on the following:
Brick: PGH Espresso
The weather board on the upper level is in light grey colour - unfortunately i can't find anything on that colour online.
The entrance door is from Corinthian:
The roof is from PGH Traditional Roof Tiles in the Barramundi color:
We decided to brighten up the look of the building we will go with the pearl white windows, which are just a normal white windows :)
The facade of the house:
Add to the left hand side of the picture on the upper level under the window a suspended balcony with a pergola on top.
The garage door will be:
the color of the garage doors will be in the same light grey colour as the weather board.
The fascia gutter and any other roof components will be in similar color to the roof to blend.
This is really exciting and we are looking forward to any of your comments and suggestions - we are really open to it as this is our first time when we actually building our house :)
